I may not have the right words to say or fully understand what you are going through today. But stand assured that I will be here to cry with you, to laugh with you and to pray for you when ever you need it, cause that’s what friends do for each other.
Sincerely,
Your dear friend.

“Dear Friend, I’m going to upset you and maybe even let you down ‘cause i’m not perfect but when you feel the rain come crashing down you better believe, by your side is where I’ll be found. “
Do you have a song that you love to hear every Easter? One that you just can’t go with out listening too. Well my dad sings this beautiful song normally every year but this year he didn’t thus leading me to google it and share it with you. Read the lyrics slowly and really grasp what’s being said watch it paint a picture that you’ll never forget. Happy Easter to you all! God Bless!
We serve a living God. The grave could not hold him. He is alive!!
Okay so tonight’s bible study was all about Worry and Fear. The main question asked was “What are you afraid of?” It was interesting hearing everyone’s stories and how much the ladies know of me. You see I’m the youngest which I see as a good thing because they are all older and wiser and I love learning from them all. But anyways, What are you afraid of? How about the dark? I know I am. Unashamed. I don’t like being in places and it being completely dark, I get so uncomfortable and edgy. Yeah I realize I’m an adult but don’t like it. Another one, Tornado weather freaks me out as well. If you ask some of the ladies in my bible study they’ve known me since I was a kid and can tell you how much of a mess I was when the sirens went off.
Here are some quotes from tonight’s lesson:
“Fear is indiscriminate. It affects all of us regardless of our age or position in life. Whether our fear is absolutely realistic or out of proportion in our minds, our greatest refuge is Jesus Christ.” - Luci Swindoll
“Sometimes we are afraid to reach out and live the life that we believe we have been called to. But fear is no friend. It may seem to protect, but it slowly suffocates.” - Sheila Walsh
“There resides in the heart of every believer little pockets of fear. For some of us it’s cowardice. For others, it’s timidity. Although we know the Savior gives courage and power, sometimes we feel safer in our little pocket than in His big provision. So we cower inside, afraid to be bold. We permit our human frailty to stand in the way of His strength.” - Luci Swindoll
Next time we find our self in Fear’s trap, we must remember that He is stronger than it all. He is our strength when we are weak. He is our protection. He knows what’s hidden in our hearts and longs to take the fear away. So this week my prayer is to leave it all at His feet. To trust in His provision and protection for our lives.
So at choir rehearsal tonight we sang a song and some words stuck with me so I’d thought I’d share them:
“O it’s more than the nails, the spear in His side, and the thorns that disfigured His brow. We think of the weight of bearing our sins and it’s like He says to us now, I expected the pain of the cross, but you were worth all it would cost.”
Read that last line again.. “you” includes you who may be reading this post. It means me it means everyone who was and is and is to come. He died for us all.
When I think about all He has done for me, I’m just amazed and can’t help but smile.
I want to be back in Nashville!!!
